Mr. Jeffrey Hoffman

This is Mr. Jeffrey A. Hoffman’s fourth year as the Director of the Greece Marching Band Blue Knights. Mr. Hoffman also acts as the Show Coordinator and Staff Coordinator for the “GMB”. Under his direction, the GMB placed 8th and 7th in their first two years of competition in the New York State Field Band Conference. In addition, the Blue Knights have become a staple in the community, having performed at events in Brockport, Gates, the City of Rochester and Greece.

This year also makes the third year that Mr. Hoffman has held the title of Brass Caption Head for the Rochester Crusaders. Along with those responsibilities, he also works for the Crusaders as the Information Director and Staff Coordinator. Mr. Hoffman has been involved with the marching activity for 14 years. Originally from West Seneca, NY, he has directed the Erie County All-Star Marching Band and also worked with the Liverpool Marching Band in Syracuse, NY. Before moving to Rochester, Mr. Hoffman was an Assistant Director of the State Champion, Jamestown "Red Raider" Band, which has won local and national competitions, including the 2004 FedEx Orange Bowl Pre-Game competition.

Additionally, Mr. Hoffman has also judged and gigged in Chautauqua, Erie and Monroe Counties. He is currently working on his Master of Arts in Music Education degree from the Eastman School of Music. During the school year, Mr. Hoffman teaches elementary band at Pine Brook Elementary School and general music at Kirk Road Elementary School. He lives at home with his cat, “Sydney”.
